How to get instant Google rankings

Today I wanted to tell you a little backdoor method to get instant rankings in Google.

Here it is....

The method is to get your article featured in Google news.
If you ever observed, Google news articles are often ranked
for almost all the search queries.

There are number of ways to get into Google news. The technique
is to research and identify the Google News Source Sites that often
get featured for your search terms. I did a test and identified that
the articles from the below sites frequently get into Google news.

Here are the results.

1. Gather: Gather.com is a social networking site where people can
submit the hot topics and the things they are passionate about.
Members can share their advice, expertise, views, news by submitting articles or videos.

The best thing I found about this site is that these articles are often
featured in the front page of Google under the Google news section for
many keywords of almost all popular niches like online marketing, real estate,
finance, health, fitness, make money online.

Join gather.com and start submitting posts with your keywords included in
the title of the post. Isn't simple? Just imagine how much credibility this will
give you! Plus, you can tell your clients that your article is featured in Google news.

Now, I can not guarantee that all your articles will be ranked in front page of
Google for your terms, but I can certainly tell you that there is a 50% probability
of happening this.

I will tell you another technique to expose your article to thousands of Gather
members. Gather.com contains number of groups on almost every popular topic
with thousands of members in it. Before you submit a post, join 5-10 groups
having a minimum of 500 members.

While submitting your post, Gather allows you to automatically share the
article in your groups. This way your post will be featured on the home page
of all the groups which will be viewed by thousands of members. This simple
technique alone can send a lot of traffic to your blog.

2. Mywaybusiness.com: This an official Google news source and I found this
site doing really well for search terms related to finance. The best thing about
this site is that it is free to submit a press release.

So, if you have a press release anything related to finance, I will highly
recommend you to use this service.

3. Prleap.com: This is another press release distribution site that is doing
well with business and technology related news. This is a paid service and
I would recommend you to go for their premium service that costs $199 to
get maximum results. Here are few more press release sites.

prleap.com prweb.com prlog.com officialwire.com webwire.com

All the above sites guarantee the inclusion of your press release in Google
news but only few of them hit the front page rankings for your keywords.
And this hugely depends on your niche and press release distribution service
you have chosen.

Basic On Page Optimisation for SEO

Search Engine Optimisation is the Key to Your Online Success

Basic On Page Optimisation

SEO is Myth.. But there are rules you should follow

If you want to have your website ranks on the top of Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), you will have to know how to please Google, as easy as that. Pleasing Google is not difficult if you know what Google want. It is like if you know how to please the emperor in Ming Dynasty, then you will get promoted and have unlimited access to wealth!

To please Google, you will have to do well in both On page and Off page optimization for your website. If you want me to give a percentage weight to the importance of On page optimization, I would say it is around 20% of the overall optimization task. Off page optimization will make up the remaining 80%. Having said that, if the keywords you are targeting is very competitive, then the Off page optimization may take up even bigger share!

Before I go on, I just like to stress that I am talking about Google.com SERPs not Google.com.my, Google.co.uk or Google.com.sg. I always like to target international SERPs, I do not want to limit my site to only Malaysia search engine results or end up being the King of Singapore or UK only. We have to aim big and make big money. Rank No.1 in Malaysia or Singapore SERPs may make you $1000 per month, but rank No.1 in the worldwide SERPs may make you $50,000 per month (the worldwide search volume is always higher than the local search results). So you can see why I always encourage people to aim big and look further beyond one country. Internet has no boundary.

To do well in On page optimization, there are few important and basic items one have to take good care of:

  1. Have the keywords you want to target on the Title Tag.
  2. Have the keywords at the Header. It can be in the H1 or H2 header.
  3. Have the keywords well spread out in the page. But don’t try to stuff the keywords in the page as Google is no more young kid in the market. You will be penalized by Google for keywords stuffing.
  4. Have site map – both XML and user facing. Site map make life easy for those surfing your site. It is easy to manoeuvre around with a site map.
  5. Have call to action like Buy now especially when you are doing e-commerce site.
  6. Meta Description and Domain name may not be that important anymore, but it is good to have the keywords mentioned there.
  7. All the images in the page should have Alt text so that Google understand what is the image about (Google can’t read image so you need to tell Google what is the image about by text).
  8. Do not have broken link in the page.
  9. Have inter pages link within your domain.
  10. Create more pages instead of 1 page website.
  11. Do not have different url, i.e. Google read http://onlinemoney062010.blogspot.com/ different from http://www.onlinemoney062010.blogspot.com. So always be consistent with your url.
  12. Do not have hidden links or keywords behind your html source. Google is not stupid to read what you are trying to do.
  13. Most Important of All – Have GOOD CONTENT. Content is the King. Google love original content and also website with frequent updates. Therefore you hardly see a landing page ranks on the 1st page of SERPs.

If you want to have easy life and do well in On page optimisation, please consider using WordPress for your website. WordPress is SEO friendly in term of its site structure. Don’t forget to install the All in One SEO plugin for your WordPress.

Remember this, On page optimisation is the 1st step in the SEO campaign after you have had the targeted keywords in mind.

So what are the benefits of ranking well in SERPs, say the top 5 of Google results on the 1st page? You will see money coming in without spending a dim!

This article is for those who are looking to make money from Internet using blogs especially beginners.

Step 1: What is A Blog ?

Step 2: Where to start ?

The best place to start a blog for free of cost is blogger.com.

Step 3: How To Name Your Blog ?

Yes, you are going to be the owner of a dot com web site. The name of your blog should reflect your topic and brand. For example, Yahoo, Google are few brand names.

Step 4: Decide Your Blog Title.

The most important step in starting a blog is deciding the Title. Write a great catchy title and to use keywords in that Title. For example, if you are writing about personality development then a good title looks like, “Learn Personality Development Tips To Develop Your Personality From Experts” and title tells the abstract of your blog. It has keywords “Personality Development Tips”, “Develop your personality” etc and your blog will be shown on search engines for those keywords. Use this Google keyword tool to find more related keywords.

Step 5: List Down Blog Categories.

Once your blog is ready, you have to decide on the categories. Basically, categories are sub-topics. Listing down the categories may help you to scope your blogging within the limits and helps you to stay focused on the topic. It is always important in blogging that you should not go out of you topic, in order to build an information rich blog.

See my blog and how i am writing useful stuffs. I don’t even write, when i am not able write useful content. Have writing as a habit in your life. Keep on writing useful articles.

Step 7: Promote Your Blog.

Once your blog has useful information, people will come to your blog via search engines. But many times, this won’t happen naturally because search engines are automated softwares & less intelligent than humans. You have to optimize your blog for search engines so that it could understand your blog well. And sends relevant visitors who are looking for information. Its well enough to Learn Google SEO here, and use them in your blog. There are many more ways to promote your blog and this article may help to promote free. Integrate Google Analytics to your blog to measure the number of visitors coming to your blog.

Step 8: Making Money From Blogs.

Make sure your blog gets enough visitors at least 100 to 200 visitors per day. Now, setup your blog to make money. Apply for Google Adsense, Kontera and your blog is ready to make money from advertisements. Then go to Clickbank or CJ, pick a product related to your topic, add to your blog and earn commission for each product sales. Generally, if your blog gets 500 visitors per day then you could make nearly 1000$ per month.

Blogging is not simple. It requires hard work, patience & consistency. Take it as a hobby and write useful articles on your topic whenever you have time. Definitely, your blog grows and makes money for you in 1 or 2 years !

How to Increase Website Traffic - wikiHow

How to Increase Website Traffic

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

One of the Internet's strengths is its ability to help consumers find the right needle in a digital haystack of data. ~ Jared Sandberg
There are many creative ways to increase traffic to your website. Some will cost you money, and some won't. Below you'll find many legitimate ways (ranging from free to costly) to boost the number of visitors to your website. But if you don't have so much as a cent to spare, read How to Increase Website Traffic for Free.

Steps

  1. Offer free, original, and quality content on your site. This is the most effective means for increasing traffic to a website; offering people something that they cannot obtain elsewhere, or at least, not to the level of quality that you are offering it. Ways in which to ensure that your content is of higher quality than competitors or is unique include:
    • Creating content that is helpful and useful. Simply cobbling together information from another website will not generate traffic. You need to offer visitors the information they need to achieve a goal, solve a problem, be entertained, find out quality news or have a good laugh.
    • Keep it fresh. For repeat visits, it is crucial to provide regular updates to the website, especially in frequently viewed zones. Add fresh content every few days if possible; at a minimum, weekly.
    • Outsource article writing. If you hate the thought of generating content yourself, or your team is not writing-savvy, consider outsourcing this end of the task. Depending on the length, content, specialization and quality required, prices can start as low as US$5 per article. However, don't neglect attempting to write your own work - who better than you knows your own business, hobby or club and can express precisely what needs to be said? Just sit down and start writing an article. You may be impressed when you're done!
    • Add video to your landing pages (VLP - Video Landing Page) that is informative and relevant to your site. Respected studies show that good video can improve conversions and page ranking more than most any other item you can add to your pages.
    • Use landing pages for fast fulfillment of your PPC advertisement.
  2. Trying to get more backlinks on your website this may help to increase the traffic.
    • Get a proofreader. Poor spelling and grammar reflect badly on the services and information being provided; avoid unwarranted negative judgments by getting the writing in order prior to publication online.
    • Avoid content generators. While these were once the delight of a fledgling web industry, they are no longer useful. Putting your own team's creativity online is what is useful.
    • Never copy and paste from another website - Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines are too smart for this nowadays and will detect copied and unoriginal content, sending you to the bottom of the pile.
  3. Improve your search engine ranking by focusing your content on keywords related to your topic. This is called search engine optimization and will help people find your website when they're searching the Web. Make sure the keywords flow naturally with the text and when you are brainstorming for good words, ask around for words that come naturally to people of all ages when looking for your type of site. To help you understand better, realize that the keywords not only go into headings and page names but also into "meta tags". "Meta tags" are the software code that website visitors do not see but search engines do. Finally, don't overdo the keywords; over-stuffing keywords will result in a very low search ranking for your website. Also, be very careful not to place key text inside graphics; search engines cannot pick up graphics.
  4. Get linked. This is a very important part of website management. Exchange links. Trading links with other websites that are closely related to the subject of your website can bring you more website traffic. These are two-way links because you must provide a link to them, too, and linking to low-quality websites can threaten the credibility of yours. Only link to sites that are dead on topic, and truly help your visitors. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.Be sure to not be too excessive with your link exchanges and do not make this your entire link building method.Google webmaster guidelines specifically says to not engage in link schemes including "Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")"
  5. Advertise your presence. Besides using links, you must make use of numerous other ways to increase web traffic. Sit down and write a list of all the ways you can think of to get your web address noticed and clicked on. For example:
    • If you have money - consider pay per click. The big search engines like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft provide schemes. But find out first how to limit your expenditure to the level you want.
    • Use e-zines. Make your own that relate to your website and form a regular reminder each issue for people to visit your website. Submit all the free e-zine directories on the internet.
    • Submit your articles to e-zines, websites and writing sites that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article. This is a good way to create one-way backlinks to your website. This is the most effective way to get listed on any search engine. Usually, the more relevant links you have pointing to your site the higher you will rank.
    • Go beyond the electronic medium and into the print medium. Advertise in local newspapers, business brochures, magazines, nationwide publications and mail-drop literature. And don't forget the perennial favorite, the good old Yellow Pages™ - printed version naturally!
    • Small business cards left in cafés, on signboards, exchanged at meetings etc.
    • Use local resources such as clubs, libraries and community centers for non-profit website awareness raising.
    • Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people's questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file containing your website's URL at the end of all your postings.
    • Start your own online discussion community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community, they will regularly return to communicate with others.
    • Use word of mouth. Tell everyone you know about your website, give out business cards to passers-by in the street, and so on. You might even want to run a guerrilla marketing program!
    • Use your car, especially if your website is area-specific (e.g. a website detailing local events or selling local services). Get some vinyl decals or bumper stickers created and turn your car into a moving advertisement, literally driving traffic to your web site!
  6. Give freebies. Who doesn't like a freebie?! Online freebies are commonplace and they leave the visitor wanting more when they are well written and informative introductory materials. Consider such freebies as:
    • Giving away an eBook with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This'll increase your ad exposure and increase web traffic to your website at the same time;
    • Holding free online classes or seminars. They could be held in your website's chat room. The idea of "live" information will definitely entice people to visit your website. You will become known as an expert on the topic.
    • Giving visitors a free entry into your contest or sweepstakes. The prizes should be something of interest or value to your visitors. Most people who enter will continually revisit your web site to get the results.
    • Letting visitors download free software such as freeware, shareware, demos etc. You could even turn part of your site into a free software directory. If you created the software, include your ad inside and let other people give it away.
    • Targeting specific groups who might worry about using the internet with free classes in using it on your site - senior citizens, busy workers etc. might find these convenient and alluring.
    • Offering free online services or utilities from your website. For instance, they could be search engine submitting, copywriting, proofreading etc. The service or utility should be helpful to your target audience.
    • Giving free consulting to people who visit your website. You could offer your knowledge via e-mail or by telephone. People will consider this a huge value because consulting fees can be very expensive.
    • Offering a free start-up package that has a finite time; enough time for the customer to practice with your online product and like it enough to pay for continued use.
    • Sending out free CD-Roms, CDs, DVDs etc. that contain starter packs or teasers to encourage the customer to use your site more.
    • Offering free screensavers or templates for business cards, cards, writing paper etc., anything that a customer can print out.
  7. Be patient. Search engines need a lot of time to index a new website and domain. They need time to index all your content; it's worth the wait and should be factored into your website profitability and/or popularity timeline. In the meantime, continue to add high quality content to your website and keep it up to date and relevant.
  8. Use all of these free techniques to increase traffic to your website: USFreeads.net, twitter.com, drop flyers, chat rooms, forums, Youtube, Myspace and Google Groups.

Tips

Warnings

  • Never, ever SPAM. Your credibility will be gone before you know it, and with it will go your traffic.
  • Don't get caught up with website generators and internet tricks. All these "black hat" tricks will only work temporarily. Your business needs to be set up for the long term.
  • Do not be fooled by those traffic sellers promising thousands of hits an hour. What they really do is load up your URL in a program, along with a list of proxies. Then they run the program for a few hours. It looks like someone is on your site because your logs show visitors from thousands of different IPs. What happens in reality is your website is just pinged by the proxy, no one really sees your site. It is a waste of money.

Converting Every Visitor into Subscriber

If a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.

But the bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers.

Some may say that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

Before your visitor leaves your website, you want to convert him or her into your subscriber via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You do this by asking for your visitor’s name and email address through your opt-in form.

And if your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him via email. You can get your subscriber to consider your offer, or endorse another offer to him or her.

All in all, you want to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain the potential revenue you rightfully deserve – the easy, wise way.

Below are the steps by steps "How to add "Email Subscription Form" to your blog(blogger, blogspot).

Backlink Mastery: Complete Guide To Unlimited Backlinks

Introduction To Backlinks

Backlinks are a vital component of any website’s traffic plan. Without backlinks, a website will have a difficult time ranking for their most important keywords. However, with a proper backlink plan in place, a website can shoot to the top of the search engines, even for some remarkably competitive keywords, while generating organic traffic to their websites quickly and easily (and at no cost).

Why Are Backlinks Used As A Measure Of A Website’s Overall Relevancy?

Many years ago, it was possible to secure top search rankings simply by repeating your keywords more often on the page than someone else did (known today as ‘keyword stuffing’). Even the most advanced search engines couldn’t distinguish quality sites from spam, so searchers would often leave frustrated, unable to find what they were looking for in a sea of spam and misleading offers that would heavily focus on implementing irrelevant keywords into their websites simply to rank for terms that had absolutely no significance to their actual websites or offers.

Backlink Mastery: Complete Guide To Unlimited Backlinks

But something happened that changed the way websites ranked within the major search engines, offering a fair, genuine method of measuring a website’s overall relevancy to the keywords that were associated with it.
Google’s algorithms made it much harder for low quality sites to make it to the top of the search engines, because instead of gauging a websites relevancy based on keywords alone, they began to use a form of “social proof” to determine which sites were truly of the highest quality and overall value. Their algorithms were compiled from a unique formula to determine which sites were “real” sites – sites people would actually want to visit from websites that were using questionable tactics to position themselves within the major search engines.

Their programmers determined that if enough quality sites were linking to a particular site, that it should be given more weight in the search engine results. The trouble was, many legitimate sites were new, or just hadn’t been found by other sites, yet. In addition, many webmasters won’t link to their “competition” just to obtain relevancy, so it left a lot of legitimate sites struggling to obtain (and maintain) adequate positioning in the search engine for their main keyword phrases. Legitimate sites had to find a way to stand out from all of the spam, as well as their competition. They had to find ways to get links back to their sites, even if other webmasters wouldn’t link to them. And so backlinks became the new method of showcasing the popularity and overall relevancy of websites.

Unfortunately, a lot of spam sites also use backlinks to help boost their search engines rankings. You have to make sure your site contains unique content, is easy to navigate, and really sets itself apart from all of the other sites out there. If you do this, backlinks can boost your search rankings tremendously. You could even rank well for keywords you never thought possible if you do a good job of obtaining backlinks to your site from authority websites that are relevant to your overall market.

The more back‐links you have, the easier it is to secure your position within the search engines and influence search results so that your website is considered relevant and appears more frequently.

It’s no wonder that so many people have turned their attention to building an expansive, solid system consisting of hundreds of permanent back‐links. Organic FREE search engine traffic consists of some of the most targeted, relevant visitors you’d ever get, and if you are able to secure your position

within the top search results for highly targeted keywords, you could eliminate any need to pay a fortune in pay per click marketing. Keep in mind that search engines determine how relevant (and important) your website is not just by the NUMBER of back‐links pointing to your website but by WHO is linking to you.
This means that not only do you want to focus on building a high number of back‐links but that you also want to focus on quality back‐links that are housed on authority sites.

QUALITY and QUANTITY are equally important when building your backlink system, and don’t kid yourself, if the search engines are forced to choose between the two (and if you have an equal number of back‐links as a competitor in your niche), the “vote” will go for the site with the highest number of quality back‐links. This means that you want to do your best to develop back‐links on established websites in your niche.

These are sites that have been around for quite some time, have developed a following, established a community and of course, receive a significant amount of traffic each day. While you can (and should) incorporate a variety of back‐links into your system, including links from authority sites that may not be directly focused on the same topic or theme as your website, always keep in mind that incoming links from quality websites will always play a greater role in maximizing your search engine ranking and overall exposure.

There are many different ways to begin your link building campaign and while many of the traditional strategies can be time consuming, once you have developed a solid back‐link structure and begin to increase your search engine positioning, you will be able to easily maintain it. Keep in mind that by building a solid backlink structure, the traffic you do receive from the major search engines will be exceptionally targeted, and far more interested in the products or services you are offering.

Just remember, don’t become complacent once your rankings improve. Keep building backlinks as time goes on, because if you stop, another site will keep building and pass you in the rankings.

You don’t want to end up losing the rankings you worked so hard to get, so incorporate these backlink strategies into your ongoing marketing campaign and position yourself for permanent high placement within the major search engines.

Improve your Adsense targeting

One of the most common complaints about Google Adsense is that the ads are not relevant to the website’s content. Non-targeted ads can drastically reduce your earnings since visitors of your site will not necessarily be interested in ads that are not closely connected to the topic that they were looking for in the first place.

There is a very simple way to improve your Adsense targeting, and it is called section targeting. There is no trick behind this technique, and Google itself incentive users to use it, here is a quote from the Adsense Help Center:

Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text and HTML content that you’d like us to emphasize or downplay when matching ads to your site’s content. By providing us with your suggestions, you can assist us in improving your ad targeting. We recommend that only those familiar with HTML attempt to implement section targeting.

So how do you implement section targeting? All you need to do is to place the following tags before and after the content that you want to get targeted:

You can use as many sections as you want inside your page, and you can also place them on the header of your page so that meta keywords will be included. Bear in mind that it might take up to two weeks before you see the results of the section targeting.

What Is Niche Marketing, and Do I Need It?

In ecology, a niche refers to the place or position occupied by an organism or a population within an ecological community called the ecosystem. It is the term which defines the role the organism or the population plays in the general scheme of things. The niche an organism or a population holds is the one responsible for dictating the ability of the species to survive. It is the one which spells whether an organism or a population will perish or thrive.

In marketing, a niche refers to a service or a product that occupies a special area of demand. It is that small corner in the market that accounts for a certain kind of specialty concerning an unmet customer need. To be able to attract a strong, solid market, the choice of a niche product should ultimately complement the website one owns. It is through this scheme that he is able to generate a specific market for the niche product he is trying to sell.

Niches are involved in niche marketing, the process of finding market segments that are small but potentially profitable nonetheless. To maintain a profitable quantity of sales, this marketing strategy relies on increasing the loyalty of customers so that their corporate objectives will be met or surpassed. Illustrative of this is the fact that the quality of the product or service sold will generate customer satisfaction and, consequently, customer loyalty. The result is profitability garnered through a solid market base that trusts in the ability of the product or service to really deliver.

One of the great things about niche marketing is that it encourages those who indulge in it to be unique and one-of-a-kind. Here one is not forced into the lion抯 den and made to compete against established marketers. He is made to occupy a strong and secure position that ultimately wins him a real place in the market. Niche marketing differs from other online marketing strategies because this particular quality allows it to operate almost autonomously and without having to contend with corporate sharks that tear each other to pieces.

One of the most important things that should be thought over by those involved in this type of business is the niche business that is going to be involved in the process. It is important to consider the type of business that one is going to work on to be able to ensure himself of the success that he hopes to have. It is also important for him to know everything about the niche business at hand. Learning the tricks of the trade in is one of the things that one could do to make a niche business prosper tremendously.

Being able to reach the niche market is another consideration to make. In doing so, one should know the exact phrases that people are searching for. The use of tools can help a lot in knowing the type of keywords that should be used to make the business profitable. Targeting the right keywords does a lot in making this type of business soar.

Those who engage in niche marketing know that determining the potential of a niche before doing everything else is a must if one wants to save all the time and effort that might be wasted if he plunges into everything head on. Building a niche marketing site that proves to be profitable should be done after an unsatisfied customer demand is identified, and marketing the site appropriately by reaching out to customers the best possible way is what niche marketers should consider if they want their business to reach skyrocketing success.

Is niche marketing needed in a world teeming with a hundred like systems designed for people to make money online? Those who know how the system works will answer in the affirmative, because niche marketing is the only system capable of filling up a gaping hole in the market by catering to the unsatisfied needs of customers - needs that are usually not given notice by those in the big league. Though niche marketing, one is able to gain a foothold in the market by being a needle in a haystack. Small and inconspicuous it may be, but its ability to sting someone so madly once it is found will render him more than surprised.

How to register to Google Adsense? How AdSense works?

There are some instructions which help you to register to Google Adsense.

    1. Go to https://www.google.com/adsense/ and register an account. After Google does some verification, you will receive a small bit of javascript coding to place on your website. The whole setup process is very easy to do.
    2. Place the coding on your design pages of the website, and ads will begin to appear when people visit your website. The Ads will be related to the visitors location, the content of your site, or other factors.
    3. You will begin to earn money based on a per-click or per-impression basis depending on the ad. Google has not released the formula they use to determine how much you will make based on the visitor clicking an advertisement. Therefore, it is unknown what you will earn for the ads. This has been a point of contention with Google Adsense.
    4. Also, please note that Google will only pay you once you earn $100. For most smaller websites, this will take a very long time. However, if you choose to close your Adsense account, Google will pay out to the account holder if they have more than $10.
    5. To help maximize profits, some website owners have discovered ways to trick Adsense. Please visit the Wikipedia page for ideas on this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdSense

    How AdSense works?

    • The webmaster inserts the AdSense JavaScript code into a webpage.
    • Each time this page is visited, the JavaScript code uses inlined JSON to display content fetched from Google's servers.
    • For contextual advertisements, Google's servers use a cache of the page to determine a set of high-value keywords. If keywords have been cached already, advertisements are served for those keywords based on the AdWords bidding system. (More details are described in the AdSense patent.)
    • For site-targeted advertisements, the advertiser chooses the page(s) on which to display advertisements, and pays based on cost per mille (CPM), or the price advertisers choose to pay for every thousand advertisements displayed.[13][14]
    • For referrals, Google adds money to the advertiser's account when visitors either download the referred software or subscribe to the referred service.[15] The referral program was retired in August 2008.[16]
    • Search advertisements are added to the list of results after the visitor performs a search.
    • Because the JavaScript is sent to the Web browser when the page is requested, it is possible for other website owners to copy the JavaScript code into their own webpages. To protect against this type of fraud, AdSense customers can specify the pages on which advertisements should be shown. AdSense then ignores clicks from pages other than those specified.

    What is a blog?

A blog is an online diary/journal. It is a personal log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog or a Web log. Blogs can be regarded as personal Web sites, often reflecting the personality of the author.

     Blog = Diary + Log

We record personal opinions and feelings in a diary. We record all the happenings in a log. A blog has both these characteristics. That is the reason bloggers try to keep a blog up to date by writing into it in a systematic or regular manner. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in chronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominently.

    • Blogging » Blogger

The activity of updating a blog is called blogging. The person doing this act is called a blogger.

    • Posting

Blogger is a term used to mean all the activities in relation to a blog. The specific activity of writing or entering content into the blog is called posting. The content of the posts takes different forms like text, images, audio or video.

    Structure of a Weblog/Blog

A blog is a single web page. Every time you write something into it, you are said to be making a post or posting something into the blog. Each post forms a small part of the total web page. Generally, the latest postings take the top most position of the web page.

As you keep posting into the blog (i.e. the web page representing the blog), the number of postings making up the blog keep growing. Therefore, postings which are older are archived and are put aside in separate pages from the main blog page.

    • What Does/Can a Blog contain?

A blog may contain anything and everything that a user may put up (write) on a web page. It may contain anything that you can think about on a web page. The content and purposes of blogs vary greatly - the personal opinions of the bloggers, updated headlines and news articles of other sites that are of interest to the user, journal entries, commentaries and links, commentary and recommendations about other web sites
compiled by the user, news about a company/person/idea, diaries, photos, poetry, mini-essays, project updates, even fiction.

    • What Can we use a Blog for?

Blogs can be used for purposes that are varied. Many blogs are personal, "what's on my mind" type musings. Others are collaborative efforts based on a specific topic or area of mutual interest. Some blogs are for play. Some are for work. Some are both.
Blogs are also excellent team/department/company/family communication tools. They help small groups communicate in a way that is simpler and easier to follow than email or discussion forums.
You can use a private blog on an intranet to allow team members to post related links, files, quotes, or commentary. You can set up a family blog where relatives can share personal news. A blog can help keep everyone in the loop, promote cohesiveness and group culture, and provide an informal "voice" of a project or department to outsiders.
